Filming the Kangaroo Island Glossy Black Cockatoo
Before the fires in 2020, Kangaroo Island had recorded around 400 of the endangered Glossy Black Cockatoos (halmaturinus). At the time, it was unsure how many Cockatoos remained, as the fires destroyed most of their habitat along with their only food source, the She-Oak Tree. I filmed these beautiful birds and posted about them on Youtube. This footage was spotted and requested by many companies including Silverback Productions, Wildbear TV and WWF.
